USFSP Looks to Graduate Veteran MBA Students This Summer

The University of South Florida at St. Petersburg will graduate its first few veteran MBA students in the program this summer. The expedited MBA program for veterans emphasizes the importance of corporate social responsibility and aims to demonstrate how veterans’ leadership experiences can be translated into strong business management skills. The program is made possible by funding from the GMAC MET Fund.

In addition to managing the MBA program, USFSP has also issued 17 Essentials refresher course scholarships and 11 GMAT Prep course scholarships to help students enter the program. The MBA program currently has 21 veteran students enrolled for the summer and fall semesters. Program coordinators are excited and proud of the students’ progress both in and out of the classroom. Several students are starting non-profit start-ups based on courses taken through the program on social responsibility.
